What's included

Snow Removal in Metro Detroit

Snow removal gets judged on one thing: whether you can get out in the morning. That means the full width of the drive and the walk to the front door, not a single pass down the middle — and it means being reliable on the mornings when the forecast turns out to have been optimistic.

Phoenix Daya Snow Removal LLC clears residential driveways, walkways, front steps and small commercial lots across Detroit and the surrounding Metro Detroit communities through the winter season.

There is a reason to use the people who built your driveway to clear it. A blade dropped hard on a paver surface chips edges and catches on anything sitting proud; we install and repair paver drives ourselves, so we know where to be careful and what not to hit.

What you get

  • Residential driveways, walkways and front steps
  • Small commercial lots and approaches
  • Seasonal arrangements or one-off clearing after a storm
  • Care taken around paver driveways, walk edges and downspouts
  • Snow piled where the melt runs away from the house, not back onto the drive
  • The same phone number as your summer paving work

What to expect

How winter service works

No mystery and no surprises — here is the order the work actually happens in.

  1. Set it up before the snow

The time to arrange clearing is in the fall, not at six in the morning during the first real storm. Call ahead and the property is already on the list.

  2. Walk the property first

We note where snow can be piled, where the paver edges, downspouts and irrigation heads are, and anything that should not be hit — all of which is invisible under eight inches of snow.

  3. Clear the drive

Full width, out to the street, with the apron cleared so the plow ridge at the end of the drive does not trap you in.

  4. Clear the walks and steps

The walk to the front door and the entry steps get cleared as well. A cleared driveway and an uncleared front step is half a job.

  5. Place the piles properly

Snow goes where the melt runs away from the house and the drive rather than across them, and where it does not block sight lines pulling out.

  6. Come back if it keeps falling

Long storms need more than one visit. What that looks like is part of what we agree when the work is set up.

Questions

Snow Removal FAQ

Do you offer seasonal arrangements?

Talk to us about it. We will set up whatever suits the property — through the season, per storm, or a call when you need it — and agree it before winter rather than during it.

Will clearing damage my paver driveway?

It can, if whoever is doing it is not paying attention. A steel blade dropped hard onto a paver surface chips edges and catches on any paver sitting slightly proud. We build and repair paver drives, which is exactly why we are careful on them.

What about ice?

Tell us what the property needs when you set the work up and we will be straight about what we can cover. We would rather say no in October than leave you short in February.

Do you clear commercial properties?

Small commercial lots and approaches, yes. Describe the property when you call — size, surface and how early it needs to be clear — and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Why are there no photos on this page?

Because Phoenix Daya Snow Removal is new this year and the first winter has not happened yet. Rather than run a stock photo of a plow that is not ours, this page carries our own crest until there is real work to show.
